Dear Eatontown Public Schools Community Member

As we quickly approach the holiday season, I would like to share an opportunity for students and staff made available through the donations of COVID-19 tests by the federal and state governments. On Wednesday, November 23rd, the district will distribute two free at-home COVID-19 test kits to each student and staff member to be used during the holiday season. As clearly stated in the past, although the use of these tests is purely voluntary, these tests can provide another layer of mitigation during the busy time of the holidays. If you do not want or need the tests, you can simply donate them to family, friends, or other community members that may need them.

The goal in distributing these tests to all school community members is to help our families screen for COVID-19 as well as keep students and staff in school. Although we all want to enjoy the holidays with family and friends, we also want to maintain consistent school routines for our entire school community during a time when cold, flu, COVID-19, and RSV are impacting our area.

Thank you for your consideration and cooperation. Please stay well and enjoy the holidays.

Sincerely,

Scott T. McCue Superintendent of Schools
