Dear Parents/Guardians of Preschool Students:
I would like to take this opportunity to be the first to welcome you to the Eatontown Public Schools community or to welcome you back if you have been with us in past years. Unfortunately, the preschool orientation times need to be changed back to the original times for Woodmere and Margaret L. Vetter Schools due to building scheduling conflicts. There will be no further revisions to this schedule.
The Eatontown Public Schools Preschool is a learning community for creative and independent thinkers. Our philosophy is to dedicate our educational efforts to our children, families, and community by providing safe and secure learning spaces where students can grow. We are committed to creating a nurturing and inclusive play-based learning environment for our students that promotes social-emotional competency, cognitive development, and physical growth. Our mission is to play, learn, and grow together.
In January 2019, Eatontown Public Schools opened its first free, full-day preschool class. Since that time, the number of classes has grown and this year, Eatontown Public Schools will have a total of nine, free, full-day preschool classes located in all three of the elementary schools in the district as well as two classes located at Kiddie Academy in Eatontown. Each class is comprised of 15 students with one NJDOE certified teacher and a classroom aide. The Acelero preschool class will be housed at Margaret L. Vetter School beginning September 2022.
Letters were sent to parents of all incoming and returning preschool students with information regarding location, assignments, and other beginning of the year information. Additionally, on August 30, 2022, each school will be hosting an orientation session for new preschool students and parents. Parents will meet for important information presented by school leaders while students engage in a fun activity in their classrooms with their teachers. The orientation schedule is listed below:
