In honor of Fire Prevention Safety Week from October 4th through October 10th, the Eatontown Fire Department and Eatontown Bureau of Fire Safety visited our schools to share life-saving lessons to our students.
During the interactive conversations, students reviewed essential safety steps every child should know. Firefighters demonstrated the classic "stop, drop, and roll" technique, showing kids exactly what to do if their clothing ever catches fire. They also listened to a smoke alarm so they can recognize the sound immediately, understand the importance of getting outside, and head straight to their family's designated meeting spot. To top off the safety demonstration, our preschool students climbed into the firetruck and saw seats, hoses, and valves up close! Our little learners watched the bright emergency lights flash and heard the roar of the sirens.
We extend a huge thank you to the Eatontown Fire Department and the Eatontown Bureau of Fire Safety for their dedicated service, continued community engagement, and tireless efforts to keep our families safe year-round!
