This month, Eatontown Public Schools partnered with our very own Eatontown Fire Department to teach students all about fire safety! Firefighters spoke with students about the importance of listening during an emergency, what a firefighter in their safety uniform looks like, and the sounds of their equipment.
Students were excited to share what they’ve learned — such as what to do when they hear a smoke alarm and not to fear firefighters during an emergency. Our prepared learners had the opportunity to see a fire truck up close! Students looked inside the truck, checked out where the hoses are kept, and even got to try turning a few nozzles.
It was such a fun, informative, and hands-on way to learn about fire safety. Thank you to our amazing Eatontown Fire Department for teaching these valuable lessons and for all you do to keep our community safe!
