Eatontown Public Schools

Dear Eatontown School Community Member:

As you are aware, the district will return to a hybrid A/B Day, one-session day schedule beginning Monday, January 11, 2021. As we progress through this school year, the district is continuing to practice recommended health and safety procedures, including enhanced cleaning and disinfecting protocols, screening faculty, staff, and students for symptoms, as well as requiring hand washing, social distancing, and the use of face coverings throughout the school day.

The New Jersey Department of Health has released updated guidance for parents with children exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19. The guidance states that any child with COVID-19 compatible symptoms should not return to school until they have either received a negative viral test (molecular or antigen) for SARS-CoV-2 or they have completed an isolation period of at least 10 days since symptom onset and at least 24 hours after resolution of fever without fever-reducing medications, with symptom improvement. A purely clinical diagnosis is no longer acceptable. Please contact your child’s school nurse if you have any questions about this updated guidance.
