On Tuesday April 21st as a part of our Library Week celebration, students, families and staff gathered outdoors with blankets and books transforming the school grounds into a common reading space. Centering the day around The Book of Zero, the focus is on belonging, self-worth, and discovering the power within each of us.
Students began the afternoon with a read aloud from our very own librarian, Mrs. D'Agnese, who coordinated such a fun and meaningful day. This read aloud was followed by guided discussions about Zero’s journey of feeling invisible at first, but ultimately recognizing their essential role. From there, students and staff rotated through a walk through read outdoors, partner reading with families who joined us, and reflective activities. Thank you to all who contributed to this successful day!
