Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

In recognition of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., our students engaged in meaningful, classroom-led activities that explored Dr. King’s dreams of peace, equality, kindness, and justice, while also reflecting on their own dreams for America.

Across the 2nd grade, students learned about important moments in Dr. King’s life and discussed how his words and actions continue to inspire positive change. Through lessons, read-alouds, and discussions, students connected Dr. King’s message to everyday actions they can take to make their school and community a better place.

Students proudly shared their learning through creative projects displayed throughout our hallways. These displays serve as a powerful reminder that even our youngest learners can understand the importance of empathy, respect, and using their voices to make a difference. We are very proud to share their work with our community!
