December, The final month before the New Year. School has been going very quickly so far. There have been a lot of events in December like, the Holiday Hustle, the Winter Concert, and of course, Winter Break.

Let’s start with the Holiday Hustle. It was a fundraiser for the 8th grade Washington, D.C. field
trip, where Eatontown citizens ran 1 mile, and then had snacks at the end. Karla H. said, “The 1 mile run was a lot of fun, but also very tiring.”

Now, onto the Winter concert. It was at Memorial School, and both the middle schoolers and the 5th and 6th graders had their concerts there. Sidney B. said, “At first I was nervous, but after I did it, I felt very relieved,” about her saxophone solo in the concert. The choir also sang holiday carols.

The second-to-last thing I’m going to talk about is a minor event. On December 21st, there was a mini-Olympics, where students played games against each other in the gym. The main event of the Olympics was the snowball fight, where students went against other classes to try to throw dodgeballs over a wall, and whichever class had more dodgeballs on their side at the end won.

On the last day before Winter Break, students did many different activities. Ms. Vazquez and Ms. Ardise’s class made gingerbread houses, while Mrs. Stella and Mr. Costanzo ’s classes made sugar trees.

As you are reading this, Winter Break is most likely over, so I’m going to talk about what will happen during it. Victor R.  said, “For Winter Break, I’m looking forward to snowboarding the most.” Other people will be celebrating Christmas and other winter holidays. See you in the New Year!
